Online IPS arrives at OGS Brasil 2019 with improvements and innovations for its customers

Online IPS, one of the leading payment companies in Brazil, is present as of today at OGS 2019 with its own stand. Daniela Hendrich, Country Manager of the company, talked with GMB about the new improvements incorporated into the firm’ services to speed up and increase flexibility for the final consumer. Brazilian partner Witoldo Hendrich Jr. will be a speaker at the event and, once again the company sponsors the official party tonight: “let's burn the roof”!

GMB - Tell us about the important innovations with which Online IPS closes the year. What did you identify in the market for this transformation?
Daniela Hendrich - After 6 years working in the Brazilian Market, we identified the need to redefine our boarding process to better address market needs. Our processing approach is quite different than our competitors’ and we prioritize effective due diligence with you, the merchant, to improve your flexibility for the consumer. Ideally, the final consumer should be the focus for our merchant not for us, while we provide support and security in the background.

Because of this, our underwriting is strict, and we may deny some prospects due for discrepancies in the documents provided, PCI-compliant forms, licenses etc. We learned, however, that our boarding process was slowing, mostly due to a surge of new clients.

What differentiates this work model from the previous one? What advantages did you add?
We have redesigned our forms, improved our technology and, most importantly, organized our teams to work in parallel. This will greatly accelerate our merchant’s time to market.

You saved the best to close 2019 in an excellent way …
We made a priority of developing the boarding process improvements before the upcoming OGS. Both shows in Brazil, BGC and OGS, are very important for Online IPS, particularly the Brazilian office. For a few years in a row, we’ve been doing our best to help the industry to develop the best regulation possible.

Do you also consider that it was a year where you also had key participation in the progress of the regulations?
Our partner in Brazil, Witoldo Hendrich Jr, helped to organize a public hearing at the Sports Committee at the National Congress, in Brasilia. Also, with some other industry colleagues, we helped the foundation of a Brazilian association with the purpose to educate legislators and authorities. This entity developed a ground-breaking working seminar in Rio de Janeiro, last September, with more than 10 congressmen and other authorities, including a former judge of the Superior Court of the State of Rio de Janeiro, taxation officials and other regulatory leaders.

What are your expectations for participating and sponsoring OGS from today in São Paulo?
OGS represents for us the end of a very promising year, especially for the gambling industry. We are excited to finally provide our full-service capabilities to this industry as soon as supporting regulation is implemented, optimistically in 2020.

Our Chief Legal Officer Witoldo Hendrich Jr will be panelist for the first time at OGS, which is a different show compared to BGC, where he is a veteran. He is excited to engage the best of the audience in a brand-new panel exploring marketing opportunities. Finally, once again, we are sponsoring the official party Monday night: “Let’s burn the roof”!
