It will certainly be the greatest event of this sport in the continent. And not just for the money, but for the people involved. With a grid of 12 events, the festival mobilizes players far beyond the Brazilian border.
A few days after the begining of MILLIONS, players from (at least) 38 countries have already confirmed their presence at the event. At least because eight of those already registered are of unknown nationality.
The tournament that opens this great spectacle is the Open, a traditional competition that opens the main partypoker events with a US$ 1,100 buy-in and guaranteed prize pool of US$ 1 million. In addition to the guaranteed prize pool, the top fifteen will receive an entry to the Main Event.
The main event will begin on March 19th, with a US$ 10,300 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of US$ 5 million. The competition will have only two qualifying days, with Day 1B being held the next day.
The country with the most confirmed players is, of course, Brazil, with 56 registrations in advance. Second in this list is the United Kingdom, with 32 representatives, and third is Argentina, with 28. The top-ten is completed by: Canada (28), United States (14), Germany (14), Austria (14), Canada Uruguay (10), Russia (9) and Mexico (9).
