Petition seeks support to legalize gaming in Brazil for welfare and job creation

In another demonstration of popular support to the legalization and regulation of the gaming sector in Brazil, an online petition was opened to collect signatures requesting the regularization of the activity. The note hosted on petiçãopublica.com.br website defends gaming as a way of recovering the pension and as an activity that generates jobs. The document will be forwarded to the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.

In the description of the petition hosted on the Petition Public website the authors say: "It is estimated that the exploitation of the activity will result in the creation of approximately 250 thousand direct jobs and 500 thousand indirect ones. In this perspective, the importance of exploring the activity to boost the Brazilian economy remains evident.”

In addition to the jobs, the authors also point out that the gaming sector can help in another current important problem of the country with the "destination for security / welfare of tax revenues from bingo and gambling regulation."

To sign this petition it is just necessary to access this link and after clicking the icon 'Subscribe Below Signed' fill out a short form with full name and email. It is also possible to make a brief comment setting out an opinion on the topic.

So far, the petition has not yet had great participation, with 100 signatures by now. However, the site does not indicate a deadline and can still gain momentum.

It is worth remembering that this is another demonstration of popular support for the legalization of the activity. On all occasions where opinion polls have been made on the subject, both by private entities and by the Federal Senate website itself, legalization of gaming has always received important numbers of votes and won the polls.
