Alexandre Manoel Ângelo da Silva is one of the most anticipated speakers at BgC and the confirmation of his participation further increases the expectations for the congress.
The Secretary for Public Policy, Planning, Energy and Lottery Evaluation (SECAP) is ahead of the process of regulating sports betting, a modality that was legalized in December 2018 under MP 846/2018 and sanctioned by former president Michel Temer.
According to the text of the law, the Ministry of Economy through the extinct Sefel (which has now become SECAP) has two years, renewable for two more, to elaborate the regulations.
The expectation for the lectures of Alexandre Manoel in the BgC is related precisely to what the secretary can inform to the market about the evolution of work for the regulation of sports betting in the country.
Alexandre Manoel's lectures will take place on June 25th from 11am when he will be part of the Debate of Legislators panel, of which the other names have not yet been disclosed, but, according to BgC's history, brings together political figures involved in the process of legalization the gaming sector in Brazil.
On the same day from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Manoel also participates in the closing of the congress, in the panel "Using Gaming to Combat Inequality in Brazil".
BgC is the most highly regarded forum for the gaming industry in Brazil, offering unparalleled access to the ministers, federal deputies, senators and local governors working to regulate this rapidly growing jurisdiction. With fixed-odds sports betting, integrated resort casinos and lottery privatisation all up for discussion within the Brazilian government, 2019 marks a true turning point in this vibrant emerging market.
Event will be held at Tivoli Mofarrej, São Paulo and to register or become a Sponsor/Exhibit, please find all the information here, at official BgC website.
