The promulgation of the law that regulates betting is shaking the local market. Now is the tourism sector that comes into play. The interest of these and other groups is the construction of complexes where casinos and hotels are integrated. The presence of casinos in hotels would be able to attract a lot of indirect revenue. This would also mean the leverage of daily sales, shows, business events and fairs, which would bring more growth to the tourism industry as a whole.
If the legislation allows the opening of new integrated ventures to casinos, it is possible that foreign companies bring at least three large complexes to the country. If at least these three complexes are installed, that would mean a contribution of about 10 billion dollars. Given the need for a good airport infrastructure, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and some locations in the Northeast are considered potential markets.
Local tourism entrepreneurs are also quite mobilized in favor of the casinos in Brazil. The Brazilian Resorts Association (Resorts Brasil) is one of the entities that is at the forefront of defending the creation of casinos linked to hotel developments. In an interview with Games Magazine Brasil, Alberto Cestrone, president of the association, said that the presence of gaming at resorts will be very important for the generation of more jobs, in addition to the arrival of greater tax collection to the Union.

There is within the National Congress, a committee called the Joint Parliamentary Front in Defense of Tourism (FrenTur). This year, it will host a series of meetings where the issue of casinos in hotels will be addressed. In one of these meetings, the president of the Brazilian Federation of Lodging and Food (FBHA), Alexandre Sampaio, addressed important issues for the feasibility of the opening of casinos in Brazil such as the implementation of fragmented daily work days, flexible 24-hour daily, (Ecad), and how would be the lodging of children and adolescents.
Several efforts are being made so that the entrance of casinos in Brazil will add attractive to the tourism sector mobilizing, in addition to the hotel industry, several other sectors related to entertainment. It remains to wait and hope so that good legislation encourages the opening of casinos in national territory.
