CPI to show future of payment systems in Madrid

Crane Payment Innovations (CPI) will show how it is shaping the future of payment systems in the Spanish gaming industry at the Feria Internacional del Juego (FER) that will take place in Madrid this week (April 9 and 10). During the show, CPI will introduce the SCR Advance banknote recycler to the Spanish market.

“It is an excellent time to introduce the SCR Advance to the Spanish market. We see a definite trend for investment in higher-end solutions in the AWP market. The increased ROI warrants this. We are observing different time frames for this shift in Europe. German arcade operators have been enjoying the benefits of high-end banknote recyclers for some years now,” said Anette Jauch, CPI sales director for EMEA Gaming.

“The UK street market is now embracing this technology, and Spain is on the verge of moving in this direction as well. Operators recognize the long-term benefits of higher customer satisfaction, increased machine uptime, and fewer problems associated with fraud when banknote recyclers are used as part of a total cash management solution,” Jauch added.

The ticketing segment is also undergoing a transition of technology. TITO has become a standard for casinos around the world and is gaining a stronger foothold in the arcade sector. AWP gaming operators also appreciate the advantages and savings that TITO can bring. As cashless payment increases, there is an issue that needs to be solved – the ability of players who prefer cashless and don’t carry enough cash with them to access a ticket. The answer to this problem is the CPI Ticket Purchasing Kiosk. This complete solution is fitted with the CPI eChoice reader and the TransAct Epic 950 fanfold ticket printer.

Yet another premiere for Spain will be the introduction of Easitrax Connect – a software powerhouse that opens up a whole new world of efficiency and cost-savings. It collates performance and transaction data from the gaming machine in real time, thus giving operators immediate access to valuable business insights.

“The gaming industry is a technology business. The market is continually evolving and we strongly believe that thoughtfully designed and forward-thinking payment systems and software will become a necessity for the continued success of our industry,” concluded Jauch.
