"Neymar and his PSG colleagues give Unibet more visibility"

The latest figures released by Kindred Group show that its Unibet Poker brand has achieved record revenues. Fabrice Arrondeau, Poker Director of the company, says that the deal with the Parisian club signed for two years in 2018 attracted new players. 'Clearly the Brazilian star Neymar, his fellow in Paris Saint Germain and this agreement allow us to go to a higher level. There is an influx of players that remain because the product is good,' said Arrondeau.

The contract signed in June 2018 is valid for two years and is worth about 3 million euros. The agreement covers the whole of the European market and assures the presence of Unibet brand at Parque dos Principios stadium as well as several digital activations that will be released during the deal.

"We are in a good momentum, numbers are available for poker and sports betting. This allows us to have more visibility thanks to Neymar and his teammates, this attracts people who are totally alien to the Unibet universe, so it's a good thing for all," says Fabrice Arrondeau.

Unibet, a website founded in 1997, is today one of the largest bookmarkers in Europe, with more than 14 million registered users, and a favorite of the British public. Offering a wide range of services in sports betting, casinos, bingo and poker, with several unique benefits for users, above average odds, and several awards and certifications of safety and social responsibility, the site has established itself as one of the leading websites in the European market. Unibet Brasil also shows significant growth in the region, driven more by the sports betting segment.

The latest figures released by Kindred Group show that its Unibet Poker brand has achieved record revenues. The impressive fourth-quarter performance of Unibet Poker in 2018 earned £ 4.9m in revenue, up 6.5% over the previous year. This quarter is the largest ever recorded by the Kindred Group.

"We expect to gain new market share with this partnership. We had invested a lot in the product at the beginning and we lacked the image. Clearly Paris Saint Germain and this agreement allow us to move to a higher level. There is an influx of players thanks to PSG and these players remain because the product is good," explains the Director of Marketing Poker in the Kindred Group.

The Kindred Group generated a total revenue of £ 907.6 million for the full financial year 2018, with £ 17.9 million coming from Unibet Poker. The number rose 18% over 2017, marking a six-year high for the company based in Malta.

In late 2013 Unibet announced that it would sever ties with the MPN Network to launch its own independent poker software in partnership with software developer Relax Gaming. The project, which was launched in 2014, targets recreational poker players and incorporates social gaming features.

Over the years, the poker brand has sustained excitement and action among the poker community by hosting new tournaments and bringing in new innovations. In November 2018, it brought the Unibet Open back to Dublin for the first time in seven years. The festival premiered in the Irish capital in 2011. The five-day festival attracted 1,500 entries, with the € 1,100 Main Event being won by Paul Jux Holderness for € 74,900.

Unibet Poker launched HexaPro in 2018, which was its own version of Jackpot Sit & Go, which is now enjoying its first major promotion called HexaPro Jackpot Mania, where the biggest prize multiplier is guaranteed to be hit 30 times. The launch of HexaPro and the highly successful Unibet Open in Dublin contributed significantly to Unibet's 2018 revenue.
