"Brazil is fundamental in the Espresso Games development project in Latin America"

With a recent successful presence at FADJA, Espresso Games strengthens its position in the region and seeks to expand its reach. Vera Motto, LatAm Regional Manager of the company, takes stock of the participation in the Colombian fair, anticipates the next steps – it will participate in San Pablo’s BgC - and highlights the relevance of Brazil for the firm: 'We want to enter right away in that market.'

GMB: What impact did you feel your company had on FADJA?
Vera Motto: In FADJA we consolidate our position in the Colombian market, from the integration with the largest operator in the industry, Betplay, to the strengthening of the relationship with the other players in the area. Interest was also generated by operators from bordering countries that are regulating online gaming, and international potential customers with whom we are also closing agreements. This market is giving us many results and more confirmations of the appreciation and popularity of our product internationally.

Did you notice a growth in the number of visitors and stakeholders that passed through your stand?
Compared to last year, the turnout was even better. Our characteristic is the originality and in this edition also the stand turned out to be very attractive and different, over, being our second year, everyone has already touched with hand that the Espresso games are unique and of the highest quality, and above all they stand out for being tailored to meet the operator's requirements.

Which product received most of the queries or interest from visitors?
We presented two new games and both received a lot of attention from visitors, including the press: the product that inspired the concept of our stand, our new Treasure Island slot with patented REELPOT system, a special mechanism for calculating the pot that offers the operator many marketing advantages and our Powerballs instant lottery, a game of special interest for LatAm, and which we have already certified. The product that we present in FADJA 2018 continues to attract attention, another patented RACEPOT system that we have applied to a synchronized slot tournament that is super simple to configure and that is already generating important benefits in other countries.

How did you notice the fair in general compared to previous editions?
Over the years it is noted that the fair is becoming internationalized. The entire sector put its eyes on Latin America, even many leading world companies have already taken out licenses and started businesses here, others will continue to participate each year. We must also thank the organization for achieving every year to gather all the actors and have helped spread the interest abroad even with new projects such as the Affiliate Summit LatAm.

Would you rate your participation as positive and successful?
FADJA is the showcase of online gaming in Latin America and gave us the opportunity to present our games personally to local players in the sector. In effect, we increased our customer base and the popularity of the Espresso product, even the media impact was stronger than we expected. The icing on the cake was to have Coljuegos President, Juan B Pérez Hidalgo, with us during the celebration of the launch of the Betplay casino.

What is the next fair or event in which the company will be present in Latin America?
In June we will present our product for the first time at the Peru Gaming Show in Lima. Once again, we will offer visitors a unique and interesting experience, I certainly invite everyone to visit our stand and discover more about our portfolio, new launch and everything we have thought for the Peruvian market. We are confident that in a few months the regulatory tasks will end; and in mid-May we will always sponsor the Ibero-American Game Summit, which this year will be held precisely in Lima, being the sixth edition of the LatAm Regulators to analyze and debate about regulation in the area. Events like this are crucial to move forward with regulation and give strength and clarity to the sector, which is why we consider it important to give our contribution.

How do you see the advances of the Brazilian market during these times? Do you have future development plans in Brazil?
We believe that Brazil is the market with the greatest potential in Latin America and we hope that it will be fully regulated in a short time. By the way, it is a fundamental part of our LatAm development project and we want to penetrate the market right away, so we will be present at the next Brazilian Gaming Congress participating in the conference and presenting our brand and our product, sure that it will have the preference it has in Colombia.
