Brazilian football player Felipe Melo becomes new Bodog ambassador

Felipe Melo, the midfielder of Palmeiras football club that competes in the Brazilian first division, stars in new campaign of the betting website Bodog. The player was chosen for his profile of overcoming and his strong personality. 'The midfielder shares the same values as Bodog: true passion for what he does,' said Bodog spokesman Ed Pownall.

Unsurprisingly, poker has become one of the most practiced activities in the world. And many football players are practicing the game, among them Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, “Fenômeno” Ronaldo, Piqué, Lo Celso, Moisés etc ...

Now, one more recognized football player will be the star of a poker campaign. Felipe Melo, the Palmeiras midfielder, becomes new ambassador of Bodog, a poker and sports betting website that continues to make several investments for the growth of the brand in Brazil. After becoming official partner of various state competitions of this sport of mind, now the company has announced Melos as its ambassador.

It is worth remembering that Palmeira’ star is not Bodog's first partner in the most popular sport in the country. The gaming room is also present as a sponsor of the Brazil Cup and the Northeast Cup.

Felipe Melo started playing at Volta Redonda (RJ), but his first professional match took place at Flamengo in 2001. At the Rio de Janeiro’s club, he won a state title and the Champions Cup.

In 2003, he was hired to be part of the Cruzeiro team, with which he won the triple crown: Campeonato Mineiro, Copa do Brasil and Campeonato Brasileiro. A year later, he performed at Grêmio and embarked to succeed in Europe.

In the Old Continent, Melo played for great clubs like Juventus and Inter Milan (Italy) and also in Galatasaray (Turkey). In 2017, he returned to the country to play in Palmeiras and, the following year, was became champion again.
