Febralot and Caixa establish new initiatives to favor Brazil’s lottery network

Caixa Econômica Federal, through its vice-president of business, Valter Nunes, and other executives who have been active in the segment over the last few years, Thays Cintra Vieira and Gilson Cesar Pereira Braga, delivered yesterday (Tuesday 25) to the Brazilian Federation of Lottery Companies Febralot (by its name in Portuguese) a package of improvements that should favor a greater economic balance for the sector.

The package of measurements included a readjustment of remunerations and changes in the addition of armored trucks among other items discussed very closely with the entities representing the sector and Caixa in recent years. The news was approved unanimously by the state unions that attended the meeting and, even if it was not something close to the ideal for the businessmen, were considered by the union presidents as a great achievement.

Pedro Guimarães, president of CAIXA, said that the proposal represents the manager's interest in seeking to improve the economic and financial balance of the partners and the rescue of the relationship that has been wearing out in the industry over time. The presidents of the state lottery unions also consider this change in the attitude of the new administration, which seeks to hear proposals from the sector, receive suggestions for improvements, and maintain a constant study team to analyze the ideas presented at meetings between executives and representative entities.

Already the next day (yesterday, June 26) the changes began to be implemented. As of this date, for example, there is already a modification in the withdrawal limits for CAIXA and BNB customers in lottery, from the current R$ 1,500 (US$ 390) to R$ 2,000 (US$ 520), which decreases the accumulated cash in the ULs and favors more security for the Lottery network businessman.

Also, the improvement package brings an average increase of 6%, which is higher than the inflation of the period (4.6%).
