Leading Brazilian TV networks have dedicated space to cover BgC 2019

The legalization of the gaming sector is an issue that is increasingly attracting more interest in society and a demonstration of this is the coverage that Brazilian TV networks have made of recent BgC 2019. Rede Bandeirantes has made a story in Band News TV with interviews in the event itself, as well as Rede TV that covered the congress with a journalist and dedicated a space in its main segment, RedeTV! News. See the two videos here.

The material featured in Band News TV, a subscription channel specialized in journalism of the Bandeirantes Group, began by highlighting the presence of 400 people in BgC 2019 and explained that the main objective of the event was to discuss and prepare the gaming market for Brazil to act after the approval of the law that legalize the activity.

Interviewed for the report, Paulo Saad, VP of the Bandeirante Group and one of the speakers during the congress, said that the legalization of the sector will bring security to the bettos, formal jobs and collection, things that are not produced today with the clandestine operations.

Bruno Maia, VP of Marketing for Vasco da Gama, a football club that has Netbet as its sponsor, also appears in the report and reminds that betting companies have great sponsorship participation in major competitions such as the English Premier League and said he expects this investment to arrive to Brazil to strengthen the clubs and help to improve football as a product.

Band News TV closes the report remembering that legalization of gaming can boost tourism in the country and cites examples such as Las Vegas, Singapore and Macau that receive millions of visitors because of their casinos, and also that only lotteries today move R$ 4 billion (US$ 1.05bn), and that bills underway in the national congress estimate that the legalization of other gaming modalities can lead to a fundraising of R$ 60 billion (US$ 15.5bn) per year.

The report of Rede TV! News, presented by the very popular journalist Boris Casoy, stated that in the 40's the gaming market had about 70 casinos in the country and employed an average of 40 thousand people, and also highlighted the importance that the theme of sports betting had during BgC 2019 after the recent approval of the law that legalized the activity. It also explained that the expectation is that the activity raises R$ 20 billion (US$ 5.2bn) per year and which would be the destinations that received investments from these taxes.

In an interview with Rede TV! News, Sergio Jardim, general director of Clarion Brasil, explained that after the regulation of sports betting more operators came to the country to offer new betting platforms and investments in the country.

Alessandro Valente, CEO of SuperAfiliados, said that the regulation will provide the market's chance to operate the business in a professional manner, thereby generating bettors' security and breaking old taboos on gambling and betting activity in Brazil.

Rede TV! News report ends by highlighting the debates on the approval of the bills that are processed in the National Congress, the PL442 / 91 of the House and the PLS 186/2014 in the Senate, that deal with the legalization of the gaming sector and remembers that today about 200 thousand Brazilians visit other countries just to play.
