Sportradar gave a talk on match-fixing for Copa America police officers

Sportradar was invited to give a lecture on the theme of manipulation of results for the police officers who are part of the Center for International Police Cooperation (CICC), in Rio de Janeiro. 'We talked about sporting integrity with a focus on match-fixing in order to add knowledge about the theme to the police officers who will work during the Copa America,' said Tiago Horta Barbosa, Business Development Director of the company, to Game Magazine Brasil.

In the special venue, a kind of security hub of the event, participated police officers from the countries that will be competing in the Copa America football tournament and that have the responsibility to investigate suspicious situations and seek to provide a quick solution for them throughout the event.

"As the Copa America is a sporting event we were invited to make a presentation on sporting integrity, focusing on match-fixing, to add knowledge of that theme to them." explains Tiago to Games Magazine Brazil.

"Sportradar will be monitoring all matches of the event through our Fraud Detection System (FDS), as usual, and seeking to identify possible irregularities in the betting markets and that may in some way indicate the existence of fraud in those markets," concludes Horta Barbosa.

The 46th edition of Copa America, the main men's football tournament among South American countries, will be organized by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) and played in Brazil (from June 14 to July 7), which receives the competition for the 5th time in history.
