John de Wit, firm’s CEO

"I believe Playbrands has the broadest portfolio for Brazil today"

With several participations in the BgC, Playbrands is one of the most familiar companies of the sector with the Brazilian market and is preparing to work with different products in the country after its regulation. GMB talked with the company’s CEO, John de Wit, who evaluated another participation in the event, the new business opportunities it offers and revealed that the group already has many developments ready to start operating in the country.

GMB - Playbrands is a company with frequent presence in BgC. How important is to attend the event every year?
John de Wit
- We always want to return to BgC because it is an opportunity to be communicating with our customers, suppliers and also to see what is happening in Brazil. Once a year we always take this chance.

Did the company meet its expectations with this year’s edition?
Our expectation is always to make new customers. The exhibition is important to show that we are here, our product portfolio, doing business and also networking.

How did you see the lectures and panels of the congress. Was there any topic you considered more interesting than others?
I participated in some of them. We have already come to Congress five, six times and the law has not left yet. So, it finally becomes to be a bit repetitive and this is normal. I follow those one that are the most interesting for the company, and this year we attended the talks about marketing and sports betting that are more important for us at this time.

Which is Playbrands project for Brazil and in what state of development is it right now?
Our project is to first prepare the company for the regulated market. We are doing that and some things are already ready, with several verticals and the idea is to be present in each follow up. In a first stage as providers, but also with operators of the online sector, land-based, sports and games. I believe we have the broadest portfolio for Brazil today.
