According to the candidate, the current management has been overly concerned with marketing and has set aside immediate problem solving for the current hospitality industry. Asked about the most important topics for the sector, Morales points out four key issues for the industry. "The rules of accessibility in the hotel industry, the issue of online hosting platforms and the release of gambling in the country are some of the most immediate topics on the hotel agenda," she lists.
The explanation for the new succession routine comes from the newly formed candidacy, which reveals that it sought out current managers before deciding to run for office. "Initially we sought a consensus, but it was not possible, because the doors were closed. Were excluded from the succession process, unjustifiably, some acting state ABIHs," points out Vanessa Morales, who with the ‘Renovação e União’ group tries to be the first female president in an organization with 83 years of history.
In addition to the most current problems, the manager is keen to cite a question of associative behavior that she wants to correct. "Our application serves mainly to debate and create ways for the growth of the sector," she ponders.
Alongside Morales are very well-known names in the hotel sector, such asNerleo Caus, Dilson Jatahy Fonseca and Patrícia Coutinho, to name just three.
CURRENT MANAGEMENT
Leading the organization since the beginning of last year, Manoel Linhares defends the continuity of a work that, according to him, is evolving. "We have as one of the main goals to increase our representation in the House and the Federal Senate and open more space to discuss our agendas and proposals, always showing the relevance of hotels in the tourism chain," says the current president, in a press release.
For Linhares, it is important to maintain the focus to unlock and modernize the tourism market, improving its rates and thus also benefiting 52 other segments that it impacts.
