GMB - What is your position on legalizing casinos in Brazil? What about the other gaming modalities?
Bruno Brito - I believe that the legalization of games, in general, can generate new jobs, income and development for Brazil. However, it is essential to build efficient monitoring and inspection tools for this activity, considering its financial movement capacity.
In your opinion, could casino gambling benefit your state's tourism?
I believe that the release of casinos will bring benefits to Roraima, since the high degree of competitiveness of our state (in addition to the rest of the federation) is able to meet the demand, both from businessmen and the public who is interested in the subject.
Do you believe that casinos should only be released at resorts or do you consider that physical casinos independent of large hotels should also be allowed?
I believe that the release is conditional on the tourism context and, therefore, linked to the big resorts. The construction of this paradigm must be supported in a sustainable context, so that the gambling structure in the resort type may be opportune to generate more income and jobs where they can be installed.
What cities in your state could host the casinos?
Our own capital, Boa Vista, is able to host casinos, in addition to the border towns of Pacaraima and Bonfim.
Is your position on casinos shared with the governor? Have you been discussing and analyzing this theme together?
Yes! The Government Antonio Denarium understands that the installation of these ventures can promote the development for the state of Roraima. He has already been favorable to this initiative!
Have you been contacted or received from international casino groups interested in investing in your state when there are regulations?
We did not receive a visit from these groups. We believe that if it is released, the visits will naturally come to our state.
