Throughout the process of regulating online gambling in the country, dozens of countries debated the issue, gathering information and experiences from industry and other jurisdictions. None of them, however, did so with such dedication as Brazil’s National Congress does at that moment, at the event to be held in Rio de Janeiro (Grand Hyatt - Barra da Tijuca), on September 13 and 14.
The main topic of the event is “A sustainable model of gaming in Brazil”, and will include members of the Sports Commission, the Special Subcommittee on Online Gambling and Betting and the Joint Parliamentary Front for the Approval of the Regulatory Framework of Gaming, as well as executives from Malta’s regulator agency (Malta Gaming Authority) and other Brazilian authorities.
The seminar aims to receive from the national and international industry, as well as from international game regulators, considerations on what to do and how to do it in Brazil. It will undoubtedly be a unique opportunity to compare existing models in other jurisdictions with the one we intend to create in Brazil.
