Result of deputies travel to Las Vegas

“Caesars is excited to help with casino legalization and work in Brazil”

Brazilian Rep. Newton Cardoso Jr, chairman of the Tourism Commission, uploaded a video to his social networks related the recent official mission to Las Vegas with his colleagues Magda Mofato (PL-GO) and Jose Airton Félix Cirilo (PT-CE). Meanwhile, Caesars Group VPs of Government Relations, John Maddox and Karlos Lasane, thank deputies for their visit and express the company’s intention to work in Brazil and show how legalization can boost tourism and generate resources.

“We have taken the opportunity to discuss the positive impact that the installation of major resorts or casinos across the country can bring to our country, as has happened in many regions of the United States. We believe that this American reality can also be repeated here, generating resources from taxes paid by citizens who go to casinos that can be converted into medicines for the elderly, educating those who need them most and ensuring the improvement of quality of life in cities where casinos are located,” said Newton Cardoso Junior.

“With casinos we will be able to take care of this social side that many times the government cannot due to lack of resources,” added Federal Representative Magda Moffato.

“Brazil urgently needs to regulate casino gaming because the country is losing a lot of revenue and the opportunity to apply this money to social benefits. That is why we are in favor of legalizing the gaming sector in the states and regions where there is potential,” said Deputy José Airton Félix Ciril.

For his part, John Maddox, Caesars Group VP of Government Relations, thanked the visit of the Brazilian politicians: “I want to say how much we appreciate that you traveled here to Las Vegas to meet us and give us information about how Brazil is approaching to the legalization of resort casino and giving us the opportunity to show how legalization can boost tourism, generate resources and positively impact their communities.”

“It is an honor to meet the delegation and we want to thank you for your presence. We are excited to work with you in your country. That's exactly what John said about all the benefits of the gaming industry. So we want to give you more information about integrated resorts and I believe you were happy and excited about what we can offer,” concludes Karlos Lasane of Caesars Group.
