League of Legends (LOL) video lessons

Banco do Brasil gets closer to eSports public with project at ESPN

Reinforcing the presence of eSports in its programming grid, ESPN will be launching this week's League of Legends video lesson sections. The news is the result of a partnership with Banco do Brasil, sponsor brand of original content that will be fully displayed by Playerlink, online platform that connects and makes available content for players, fans and enthusiasts of this modality.

The branded content will feature 36 classes that will run on TV and digital platform by the end of the year. New Brazilian champions of the sport for Flamengo, professional athletes Felipe ‘brTT’ Gonçalves and Leonardo ‘Robo’ Souza will lead the video classes divided by skill levels.

Two competitive League of Legends tournaments will be organized in the initiative, with cash prizes or peripheral products. The final of the competition will be broadcast live on Youtube and the Playerlink platform, featuring a narrator and commentator from the ESPN team.

The partnership with Banco do Brasil will also bring coverage of the Brasil Game Show, the largest fair of games and eSports market in the Brazilian market, which has BB support in this 2019 edition. The bank will feature a 500m² booth at the event, including a gamer room featuring "You vs. Pro" matches, virtual reality gaming and Star Wars franchise activations.

ESPN was the first sports channel in Brazil to feature eSports programming. This year, the network aired Dota 2, Clash Royale, NBA 2K, Madden, FIFA 19, Rocket League and Overwatch tournaments.
