Clarion invites FPF President to participate in a panel at OGS Brazil

At a meeting held yesterday afternoon at the Paulista Football Federation (FPF) headquarters, Clarion Events CEO Sergio Jardim invited FPF President Reinaldo Carneiro Bastos to attend a panel of the upcoming Online Gaming Summit Brazil on the impacts of the betting for football and other sports. The second edition of OGS will take place on December 9th and 10th, at the Allianz Parque stadium in São Paulo.

OGS Brazil 2019 will bring together operators, product and service providers, regulators and authorities to discuss the current scenario and future regulation of the Online Gaming and Sports Betting sector in Brazil. On the official website (http://ogsbrazil.com.br/), interested parties can leave their details to receive in the future the agenda of the event with the list of speakers and the floorplan.

Last August, the FPF Academia, the academic arm of the Paulista Football Federation, promoted the Sports Betting Seminar to discuss the regulation of the sport in the country. Opened by Reinaldo Carneiro Bastos himself, the event brought together federal government officials, lawyers, managers, journalists and professionals from São Paulo clubs, as well as officially launching the Integrity Booklet.

“Betting is a reality both inside and outside the country, and there is currently no control. Therefore, the law dealing with this issue needs regulation. We need to learn from examples from other countries, always prioritizing the integrity of competitions. We have more than 100 clubs in Sao Paulo, 4 clubs in Serie A and 5 more in Serie B. I think that, in terms of fan engagement and exposure, it's the biggest market in the country,” said Reinaldo Carneiro Bastos.

Once again, Clarion has chosen Games Magazine Brasil as the official media of OGS, which will have full multimedia coverage so as not to miss any detail of this important event that gathers the online gaming market in Brazil and the region.

Football officials, players, gambling sites, legislators, businessmen and many other protagonists will attend the event as speakers, with their own stand or just as visitors interested in knowing about the upcoming regulation.

It is expected that once the gaming industry is regulated in Brazil, some types of games and casinos may still take considerable time to develop due to significant infrastructure and other investments, which may mean that the online betting market may represent more attractive opportunities for operators looking for faster ways to operate in Brazil.
