“Women's football today is a reality, it is important that we can make stronger football every year and that we can play every competition we have available. We have formed a technical committee with wide experience, which has worked with women's football. The coach, Fuscão Freitas, was the commander of the Fortaleza team that was Ceará champion in 2010, and we have young players to mix with other experienced athletes so we can make a good championship,” explains Fortaleza's base director, Roberto Moreira.
"In Brazil, there are still few companies investing in women's football. With the French World Cup, things have changed, but the numbers have remained low. We, at NetBet, were already looking for initiatives to support the women's football and we saw a perfect opportunity for the Fortaleza team," says Alceu Aragão, Country Manager Brazil at NetBet. “There are many reasons that led us to sponsor women's football, but one of the main ones was innovation, making it different from what everyone else already does,” adds Aragão.
