“This possibility is already being discussed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will bring a significant number of travelers, and may even double the tourists from these countries in a short time. However, what we need is a promotion structure to give prominence and publicity to this action,” comments Álvaro Antônio.
Major efforts also include the release of resort casinos, which will gain momentum this semester. “Integrated resorts with casinos will be discussed with greater emphasis and depth, as more than 90% of the most developed countries have these venues as an important aspect of tourism, employment and income, and Brazil must break these barriers,” says the minister.
Another issue that gained relevance was the expansion of the cruise market in the country. “Today we have only seven ships cruising the Brazilian coast, which is very little. We have huge potential, but we understand that there are tax policies that we must work on, in addition to infrastructure, and we are discussing incentives for these shipping companies.”
