Hospitality Business Fair highlighted importance of casinos and gaming for Brazil's economy

“Casinos and gaming should be part of a macroeconomic public policy for Brazil, will be US$ 70 billion in foreign investment, double-digit million-dollar job creation, billions in taxes and over 100 impacted segments,” commented Bruno Omori, President of ABIH-SP -Brazilian Association of the Hotel Industry during his lecture at “Hospitality Business Fair 2019”, a trade show of the Brazilian Association of Suppliers for Hotels, Restaurants and Similar Businesses in São Paulo.

Omori participated at the open ceremony of the event and commented: “I greet all the authorities and personalities present here. Congratulations on the initiative to start a new identity. Hospitality is a fair of solutions, which showcases equipment for hotels, restaurants and bars, as well as relevant technical panels with themes such as the new digital accessibility seal that will serve the hotel industry throughout Brazil; and casinos and gaming as factors of macroeconomic development for the country.” Omori concluded by wishing good business to all exhibitors who attended the event.

Then, during the conference agenda of “Hospitality Business Fair 2019”, the president of ABIH-SP and IDT-CEMA, presented the conclusions of his thesis on the advantages of the approval of gaming as a macroeconomic policy for Brazil. "The idea was to discuss with the hotel community the opportunities both with urban casinos and casino hotels with integrated resort. We also talked about how this scenario is in Brazil and what are the opportunities for tourist cities and, especially, putting the subject as macroeconomics public policy," said Omori.

The hospitality event “Hospitality Business Fair 2019” takes place in the pavilion next to the 47th ABAV International Tourism Expo and 52nd Braztoa Trade Meeting, one of the largest and most important trade and tourism fairs in Brazil that brings together the entire tourist chain. ABAV Expo plays the important role of transformative agent of the sector, brings people together and proposes a new look to work contemporary tourism. The event ends today in São Paulo (SP).

Omori assures that “the approval of casinos/gaming has an impact on Brazil's macroeconomics, because especially with a liberal and market focus legislation -without limiting a specific gaming model (integrated resort casino, casino hotel, urban casino / bingo, online gambling, among others)- we will have opportunities for investment, development and economic growth.”
