III National Tourism Meeting addresses legalization of casinos in Brazil

On September 19th and 20th, the mining town of São Lourenço will host two days of conferences, tables and workshops with big names in tourism and gastronomy, during the III National Meeting of Tourism, Gastronomy and Creativity. Among the guests is the Federal Representative Newton Cardoso Junior, who will give the lecture “Tourism and Publics” addressing the permanent tourism commission, the reformulation of the General Tourism Law and the legalization of casinos.

The meeting will take place at Hotel Brasil and is part of the 8th edition of Degusta - Gastronomic Festival of São Lourenço and aims to promote the exchange of experiences, offering tools for the innovation of destinations and companies.

All activities are free and open to the public, upon prior registration through the event website. The 8th edition of Degusta - São Lourenço Gastronomic Festival is a realization of the São Lourenço Convention & Visitors Bureau, in partnership with Senac MG, São Lourenço Union and GRUPO UNIS.

Opening the program, on Thursday (19), at 10:00 a.m., those interested can participate in the lecture "Tourism Gastronomy and Creativity", with teachers Rita de Cássia Resende and Michely Cristina da Silva, Gastronomy Group Unis.

From 2:00 p.m., the Theoretical and Basic Concepts for home craft beer production can be learned during a workshop given by Oswaldo Kameyama, from the Southern Federal Institute of Minas Gerais. Then, at 3:30 p.m., there will be a lecture on “Religious Tourism: Opportunities of the Nhá Chica Route”, with Luciana Thome, Sebrae's Tourism and Marketing specialist. At 5:00 p.m., the theme will be “Digital Marketing in the Age of Fake News”, by expert Atila Nadeo da Canela da Ema Comunicação.

In the evening, at 7:00 p.m., there will be a lecture on “Controlling and Finance for Hotel Management”, with Adriano Nuintin, from IMAP. The public can learn a little more about “Compliance and Data Protection” at 7:45 p.m. with Dr. Adriano Oliveira, also from IMAP.

To close the first day of lectures, at 8:30 p.m., Professor Mario Braga Corrêa, MSc in International Trade, will be launching his new book "Digital Entrepreneurship - Free Software boosting business".  

Already on Friday (20), at 3:00 p.m., there will be lecture on Current Gastronomic Journalism, with Juliana Dias, Malagueta Communication. From 4:00 p.m., the public will be able to participate in a round table with various professionals who will address themes about flavors and knowledge of Mantiqueira and Grande - Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Creative Economy. Among the subjects are the creation of the Permanent Forum for South-Minas Gerais Gastronomy, the registered and unregistered South-Minas gastronomic intangible cultural heritage and the public policies for Gastronomy in Minas Gerais.

The festival is sponsored by the State Culture Fund (FEC), Government of Minas Gerais, Gomes Supermarkets, São Lourenço Water and São Lourenço Sweets and supported by the São Lourenço City Hall - MG, São Lourenço Department of Tourism and Culture, Sebrae Minas, Touristic Waters Circuit, ATAM - Mantiqueira Highlands Association, Mantibier, Via Sampaio, House Club Weevil, Chico Restaurant, Uai Vai Urban Mobility, San Remo Tour and Hotel Brasil.
