Atlantis won international tender to carpet all state casinos in Uruguay

The recent opening of the Rio Branco casino, which seeks to capture Brazilian gamblers for being located on the border, showed the first of the complete carpet installations performed by Atlantis. The prestigious Argentine company won the international tender promoted by the Uruguayan government that includes placement in all the state casinos of the country. 'We were above companies in the USA, Europe and the East, what shows the quality and performance of our products,' said Eduardo Bercovich, Director of Atlantis.

During 2019, the Rio Branco Casino was inaugurated, in the Uruguayan city that bears the same name, the first of all Uruguay casinos that involved the international tender promoted by the government of Uruguay. Industrias Atlantis, from Argentina, was awarded for design, quality, and background, the carpeting for all the state casinos in the country.

“It is a pride for us to have obtained the first place in the tender and to have the commitment with the Uruguayan government to carpet all of its casinos. Let's not forget that it was an international competition where Atlantis had to compete, in quality and price, against products from all over the world, from the United States, Europe and the East,” Eduardo Bercovich told Games Magazine Brasil.

Carpets were produced and placed in 1x1m bales, with cut hair, designed by Atlantis in 80% wool / 20% nylon, with rigorous quality standards and performance. Finishing this work, which has received praise from all sectors close to the world of casinos, will continue to cover every m2 of the casinos of Uruguay: Casino Atlántida, Carmelo, Victoria Plaza, Rivera, Salto, among others.

“In Mercosur, Atlantis is increasingly becoming a permanent benchmark in terms of hotels and casinos. There is no doubt that not only the quality of our products is comparable to the world's leading brands, but in some cases, as we do very personalized work, we can also improve these standards and exceed expectations,” added the Bercovich.

Atlantis was selected for this project, not only because of its extensive experience but also because its background in Latin America is more than recognized. In fact, in Uruguay the company has been present for years both in the Mantra Hotel, in the Punta Grand Hotel, and in most of the casinos of the country.

“We propose a casino with the latest technology, the best that Casinos del Estado has, with machines bought entirely in Las Vegas for the occasion. All the material of both furniture and games is new, brand new so we provide a first-level electronic gaming establishment, similar to those we have in Montevideo and Punta del Este,” said Javier Cha, director of the Uruguayan regulatory body during the Rio Branco Casino inauguration.

He also said that the casino in Rio Branco (on the border with Brazil) seeks to capture public from the neighboring country that arrives from the city of Yaguarón. “A service is offered to the entire population, both Brazilians and Uruguayans,” said Chá.

Likewise, the head of the state agency celebrated the “new step that Casinos del Estado takes by opening rooms in different regions of the country”. As it was previously anticipated, the new venue does not include table games (cards, roulette, etc.). Some months ago, Cha explained that they didn’t consider them profitable to include that kind of gaming options, so they pointed to the slot machines.

"Ultimately, Rio Branco will have a slots room of Casinos del Estado set with the best that this organization has and planned up to the last detail, also with gastronomic space, a stage and during the weekends a program with musical shows, looking to become a role of fun and entertainment in the mall, which was precisely the commitment we assumed with the main protagonists of this project, ”concluded Chá.

"Now we are finishing the second stage of the Buenos Aires Racecourse and we also carpet 70% of the Mar del Plata Central Casino in Argentina, an icon of South America," Bercovich said about the new projects in which Atlantis is working on.
