Meanwhile, Scientific Games has unveiled the world’s first syndicated jackpots product for the online casino market, which has gone live for a limited exclusive period with Betsson.
Under Scientific Games’ OpenGaming brand, the Mega Drop Quest syndicated jackpot product allows for groups of people to “win together” and create more chances of winning big prizes within a slot game. Players are able to join others to collectively win a percentage of a larger jackpot, allowing for more accessibility and introducing a community gaming component.
Betsson is the first Scientific Games iGaming partner to launch with the innovation, which will be available across the Open Gaming System network in January 2020. The initial network-wide launch will debut in Europe, with additional global territory release dates to be announced.

Through different business initiatives, both Scientific Games and Betsson are currently present in the Brazilian market.
The Estrela Instantânea Consortium, made up of Scientific Games International (SGI) and International Game Technology (IGT), was declared the winner of the LOTEX auction (there was only one presentation), having offered the minimum price stipulated by the Ministry of Economy and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES). The concession period is 15 years.
Meanwhile, last December Swedish giant Betsson informed about the acquisition of 75% of SUAPOSTA, the first and only 100% sports betting brand licensed in Brazil through a partnership with the Rio Grande do Sul Jockey Club.
