ABIH São Paulo to talk about casinos and gaming at Brazil's round table in ICE London

Clarion announced the participation of more Brazilians in the schedule of lectures and debates at ICE London, which takes place next February 4th-6th at ExCel. Bruno Omori, president of ABIH São Paulo, will participate in the Round Table on Brazil within the World Regulatory Briefing cycle of ICE Vox talking about the opportunities that the country can offer to casino operators who wish to make investments after legalization of the activity.

The round tables of the ICE Vox World Regulatory Briefing cycle are great meetings that gather specialists from regional markets and entrepreneurs who want to know about the activity in a given country in order to make decisions about new investments. In addition to Brazil, other Latin American countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Puerto Rico will also have their space at the event.

The Brazilian table takes place between 2:50 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on February 4th. In addition to Omori, Luiz Felipe Maia, founding partner of FYMSA Advogados, completes the program of presentations on Brazil.

Omori told GMB that one of the objectives of the lecture is to show that the investment of casinos in Brazil will move several sectors of the economy generating jobs, tax collection and estimates that the activity can inject an amount of US$ 70 billion in the country.

“The idea of our presence in London is so that we can talk about the opportunities of gambling in the country, having approved casinos, betting and with that we have the possibility of entering US$ 70 billion that will activate several branches of the Brazilian economy. This money starts moving the real estate market, then the engineering market, and then an entire furniture sector; passing through the qualification and hiring of collaborators. The entire tourism market will benefit; culture, gastronomy, entertainment, that is, we fully believe that the legalization of gaming in the country will generate millions of jobs, billions in foreign exchange and taxes, which is what Brazil needs,” stated Omori.

In addition to the lecture, ABIH's CEO revealed that he has a series of meetings scheduled with representatives of casino operators and betting companies to present the opportunities that the State of São Paulo offers to these potential investors not only in large cities, but also in others of the state and on the coast.

“We will have meetings with these companies so that they understand how we can create a synergy taking advantage of data like those in São Paulo, which has more than 191,000 hotel rooms and over 150,000 guests who pass through the state daily. Our participation in London, in addition to the lecture, is to do business, bring investments to Brazil and strengthen the economy through gaming and casinos,” concluded Omori.

As every year, Brazil will have a large space to discuss opportunities in the country during the ICE show. In addition to the round table in the World Regulatory Briefing cycle, the seminar “Brazil, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean” has already been announced, where representatives of the legislature and businessmen will present the news of the gaming market in the country. Important Brazilian companies also announced their participation in the London event, such as Suaposta, which will have a booth, and Online IPS, which will sponsor the event's official happy hour.
