LeoVegas appoints new Digital Marketing Director

Online betting operator LeoVegas AB has been making changes to its marketing team and now it has announced Johan Rikner as its new Director of the Digital area in another fresh appointment to a key position. “I have some experience in building a data-driven organization and I hope to use it to help LeoVegas become the ‘King of Digital Marketing’,” commented Rikner.

The company’s new Digital Marketing director had been working with Nordic native and press advertising publisher Nyheter365, which was later acquired by the Stockholm marketing group Mediaplanet back in 2017.

Rickner also brings gambling industry experience. He previously worked with online sports betting operator Bwin, where he worked as Swedish Country Manager.

LeoVegas has been restructuring its top-level management team. The operator recently made appointed former Kindred Group Swedish General Manager Dersim Sylwan as a new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

Leo Vegas has been making efforts to up its game in the market. While the gambling operator has secured licenses to operate in several newly regulated gambling markets in Europe, it has also been focusing on gon improving customer engagement.

Commenting on the appointment, Rickner said that he was excited about his new role: “I really like LeoVegas’ culture and that there is such a consistent commitment to being data-driven. In fact, it is reminiscent of how we did it at News365.”

“I have some experience in building a data-driven organization and I hope to use it to help LeoVegas to be the ‘King of Digital Marketing’,” he added.
