With the Brazilian Ministry of Economy in the process of creating a regulated framework for legalised sports betting, the CBV has taken a proactive stance to protect the integrity of its competitions from the threats of match-fixing and betting-related corruption. Genius Sports’ Bet Monitoring System will analyse global betting on all CBV competitions, automatically flagging potentially suspicious odds movements and providing crucial visibility.
CBV also grants Genius Sports the exclusive rights to control the collection and distribution of its official data.
To enhance the quality of competitions and in-game officiating, Genius Sports will provide the CBV with Data Volley and VideoCheck; the premier scouting and decision review systems in world volleyball. Data Volley will enable coaches to analyse every play, combination and skill with in-depth performance data while VideoCheck will utilise 17 high-speed cameras to detect all major fouls and faults, ensuring the accuracy of every referee decision.
