First Sport Marketing and Management Meeting to address betting impact in Brazil

The AMO Sports Fair will hold next February 14-16, 2020, at the Athletico Paranaense Stadium in Curitiba, its first Marketing and Sports Management Meeting, an event that will debate the fundamental topics for the development of the sports industry in Brazil. Corporate-club and the impact of sports betting will be some of the themes to be analyzed during the three days of the event.

Held by Amo Esporte and Club Athletico Paranaense in partnership with Pluri Consultoria, the meeting will debate the fundamental topics for the development of the sports industry in Brazil. Aimed at professionals who already work in the sector and those who wish to join the sport business environment, the event is coordinated by economist and founder of Pluri Consultoria, Fernando Ferreira.

Ferreira is one of the most sought after professionals when it comes to market intelligence. In 2020, Pluri will complete 10 years of activity mainly with research, scenario analysis and trends of the professional sports universe. For the executive, the management of sports in Brazil is still amateur but the potential is huge. “Our main goal is to bring the best practices in the world to apply and help develop a sustainable industry. For this, we need to improve our human capital and technological and financial resources,” he says.

With a comprehensive schedule, the Marketing and Sports Management Meeting provides a series of panels to clarify business and management issues. In addition to an overview of the most innovative global sports management practices, the three days of the event will also discuss the legislation on corporate clubs, the role of federations and confederations in promoting sports, the professionalization of sports management, the use of new technology platforms, the expansion of fan-partner plans, product licensing and the impact of sports betting, the international expansion of Brazilian clubs, among other topics. For this, Ary Rocco (ECAUSP), Marcos Motta (professor at CBF Academy and Real Madrid University School / European University), Bichara Abitude Neto, Amir Somoggi (Sports Value), Paulo Calçade (ESPN), Sérgio Pugliese (Approach Communication) , Fabio Wolff (Wolff Sports & Marketing), Fávio Zaclis (Barn), Thiago Mendes, André Figer (Figer Group) will be some of the professionals present at the meeting.

Equality and Inclusion, Key issues for the democratization of sport such as the inclusion of fans in Brazilian stadiums, racism in sports, the appreciation of idols, challenges of athletes' post-career life and the development of Brazilian women's football will also be on the agenda.

Registration - The Sports Marketing and Management Meeting will be held simultaneously with the Sports Medicine, Sports Physiotherapy, Sports Nutrition, Sports Law, Sports Journalism and Physical Education meetings.
