Betcris Head of Business Development Fernando Garita speakes at GAT Expo

Typically held as a live event in different Latin American countries such as Colombia, Peru, Mexico and more, the GAT (Gaming and Technology) Expo is taking place virtually this week as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fernando Garita, Head of Business Development of leading LatAm sports gambling and gaming operator Betcris, will be present participating in a session targeting the iGaming segment for Central and South America.

The “Online Gaming in LatAm – Challenges, Opportunities and New Developments” conference takes place on October 14, starting at 8:30 AM Pacific Time. It will be an opportunity for anyone involved in the LatAm gaming market to gain valuable insights into online gaming from experts, including Garita, Gaming Laboratories International VP of Latin America & Caribbean Karen Marcela Sierra-Hughes and German Segura of Betplay. The panel will be moderated by Fernando Saffores, founder of Focus Gaming News.

Betcris has quickly evolved into a leading gaming entity across LatAm, helping shape the core regulations and operations in countries in the region. Led by CEO JD Duarte, it is constantly introducing new gaming options that are developed based on user input and which are consistent with the company’s strict guidelines of content creation that is transparent and compliant in every country it serves. Betcris is now one of the primary driving forces behind the responsible gaming initiatives that have been established throughout the LatAm region.

The GAT Expo is designed for both B2B and B2C entities, as well as investors and buyers that serve the industry. It was introduced 22 years ago and has since grown to become one of the most popular events for the gaming industry, routinely finding representation of 85 countries and their regulated gaming markets.

Along with an exhibition hall that attracts up to 213 exhibitors, it is an all-encompassing event that helps anyone in the gaming industry understand what is guiding the development of the activity.

In addition to iGaming, the GAT Expo also explores online sports gambling and includes workshops for entities interested in online gaming. There will also be, on Day 3, coverage of land-based casino operations and management, including discussion on how these gaming operators can better oversee their operations during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
