Puerto Iguazu allowed reopening of casinos and gambling halls

The Argentine city of Puerto Iguazu, bordering Foz de Iguazu and a gambling destination chosen by the Brazilians, reported that it authorized the reopening of casinos and gambling halls after a long period out of business due to the pandemic. With strict safety and hygiene protocols, the establishments will work at 50% of capacity, from 10:00 am to 2:00 am and with limited gaming offer, allowing only the operation of slot machines.

The mayor of Puerto Iguazú, Claudio Filippa, signed the adhesion of that municipality to the provincial decrees that authorize the operation of casinos and gambling halls, which will be able to work from 10:00 am to 2:00 am.

From the commune it was clarified that the protocol that was agreed between the ministries of Health, Government and Labor, with the contribution of the Provincial Institute of Lotteries and Casinos (IPLyC) will govern for this activity.

It will be subject only to the operation of slot machines, and the establishment cannot offer other types of table games or bets. Likewise, they must be reduced to 50% of their usual capacity, thus alternating the operation of the machines, leaving them out of service and removing the corresponding seat.

On the other hand, the gastronomic sector will be enabled without being able to exceed the maximum of five people per table, the mandatory use of face mask, maintain the minimum distance of 2 meters between people, and avoid crowding at all times.
