Fold Cancer

SuperPoker, H2 Club and BSOP carry out joint action to fight cancer in Brazil

Aware of the importance of fighting cancer, the SuperPoker, H2 Club and BSOP groups unite in the Fold Cancer campaign in Brazil. There will be several actions to raise awareness and contribute effectively to the causes of the Pink October, against breast cancer, and Blue November, against the prostate. In addition to content on the topics on social networks with real stories and personal testimonies, there will be fundraising for NGOs related to diseases.

It is estimated that in the next 3 years at least 66,280 cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in Brazil, according to the National Cancer Institute. In the world, breast cancer is the most recurrent in women, while in Brazil it occupies the second place.

The main signs and symptoms of the disease are: lump or nodule, usually hard, fixed and painless; reddish or orange peel-like breast skin, changes in the nipple and spontaneous fluid discharge from one of the nipples. In some cases, the presence of lumps in the armpits and neck can also indicate symptoms.

Just as breast cancer is the second most affected by women in Brazil, prostate cancer occupies the second position for men. What makes Blue November as important as Pink October.

In its initial stage, prostate cancer has a silent evolution. Many patients have no symptoms or, when they do, they are similar to those of benign prostate growth (difficulty urinating, need to urinate more often during the day or night). In the advanced stage, it can cause bone pain, urinary symptoms or, when more severe, generalized infection or kidney failure.

Both breast and prostate cancer, if identified at an early stage, in addition to being fought with less aggressive treatments, have a satisfactory cure rate. That is why it is important to embrace the cause, inform and raise the awareness of as many people as possible.

With that in mind, the groups come together to promote actions that can directly contribute to this struggle. In addition to awareness content on social networks with real stories and personal testimonials, there will be fundraising for NGOs working on behalf of causes through a tournament and other initiatives by the SuperPoker, H2 Club and BSOP groups, in partnership with Real Poker and Rizzo Pub.
