Florianopolis' Arena Petry venue is finalist for the "Oscar of events" for second year in a row

About to turn two years old and in the process of becoming the first Hard Rock Live in Brazil, Arena Petry -located in Florianopolis- is a finalist for the Caio Award, considered the 'Oscar of Events', for the second time. The nomination comes in a year full of challenges for the sector. For Tânia Egert Petry, its commercial event manager, being among the finalists of such an important award is proof that Arena knew how to reinvent itself during the pandemic.

"It was a difficult year for the segment, but we were not stuck. During this period we made 12 lives with local artists, collecting donations for the purchase of basic baskets delivered to event professionals, paralyzed during the pandemic, while we brought entertainment quality music for our followers,” says Tânia.

“We pay homage and offer our social networks to publicize the work of freelance professionals, digitalize the service of our clients for meetings and online presentations and create campaigns with benefits for those who schedule social events at home. We also held shows and corporate events in a drive-in format and inaugurated the Studio Cambirela, space for online and hybrid events with cutting edge technology," he recalls.

This year, the award also changed due to the pandemic. The regulations and categories have been readjusted to host hybrid events and / or 100% online, and future projects already prepared but not yet executed will also be awarded.

The Caio Award is held by Eventos Expo Editora, and supervised by the Board of Directors of the Caio Award, formed by the most representative entities of the event segments: Abeoc Brasil, ABIH, Brazilian Academy of Events and Tourism, Ampro, Unedestinos and by the personalities of the industry of events that won the title of Hors Concours of the Caio Award, for having been elected in three editions of the award as the Grand Prix Caio Award. The result will be announced during the Caio 2020 Award Ceremony, which will be held on December 15, at the Expo Center Norte Convention Center, in São Paulo.
