Amaury Jr. defends casinos legalization in Brazil with the biggest prizes in Las Vegas

Renowned Brazilian journalist and TV host  Amaury Jr. says that the Federal Senate's Committee on Regional Development and Tourism has shown itself to be in favor of the bill that regulates gambling in Brazil and the reopening of casinos in this country. His blog brings news, behind the scenes and exclusive information about who is the subject of showbiz, culture, politics, business, and all social circles. In this edition, he reviews some of the biggest awards that have ever occurred in Las Vegas.

For a short period of time, the casino has already been allowed in Brazil and now that reality can come back. The Federal Senate Regional Development and Tourism Commission was in favor of the bill that regulates gambling in Brazil.

The road to the reopening of casinos in the country is still long, but some places in the country have betting as one of the main leisure options, such as Las Vegas.

Here are some of the biggest awards that have ever occurred in the world famous city for gambling:

  • US$ 4.5 million
    In 2014, a player bet 1 cent on the Caesar's Palace casino and left with US$ 4.5 million
     
  • US$ 17.3 million
    With some vouchers for free spins on the slots. An anonymous player used up all the credits at the M Resort Spa Casino and, at the end of the night, left with US$ 17.3 million without spending even a dollar.
     
  • US$ 22.6 million
    Johanna Huendl was on vacation in Las Vegas and, before breakfast, decided to play US$ 170 in the slot machines. The bet earned him US$ 22.6 million.
     
  • US$ 25.6 million
    Elmer Sherwin managed to win the jackpot twice. In 1989, the World War II veteran won US$ 4.6 million at The Mirage casino. In 2005, Sherwin played on the same machine and won US$ 21 million.
     
  • US$ 39.7 million
    In March 2003, a software engineer decided to spend his free time at Excalibur Casino. After betting US$ 100, the man took the biggest prize in Las Vegas history: US$ 39.7 million.
