Intralot Brasil sponsors BgC, Sergio Alvarenga to speak on experience in Minas Gerais

Sérgio Alvarenga, CEO of Intralot Brasil, which has operated the Loteria Mineira for ten years, will take his experience of directing one of the most solid state lottery operations to the Brazilian Gaming Congress Digital Experience. The executive will present the company's progress and the achievements of society with the activity carried out in Minas Gerais. He will speak at the panel “State lotteries: How the new scenario will be”, which will take place at 11:05 am on December 8th.

Over the past ten years, the society of Minas Gerais state saw lottery activity flourish when Intralot took over the operation of Loteria Mineira. Since 2010 the company has been exploring the activity with great professionalism and now, with the end of the Union monopoly in the exploration of the sector, Intralot intends to develop new modalities and expand its participation in the lottery market.

On the panel of the BgC Digital Experience, Sérgio Alvarenga, CEO of the company in Brazil, will speak about the future prospects of the business, profitability of the operation and show to the audience the advances that regulation at the state level will allow Intralot and society.

A tireless defender of the autonomy of the states in the lottery operation, Alvarenga will share the panel with Waldir Eustáquio Marques Jr., Under Secretary for Prizes and Draws at the Ministry of Economy, and with Ronan Moreira, General Director of Loteria Mineira. The panel will be moderated by Marcello Corrêa, former Legal Director of Loterj.

The panel will have a strong impact on the meeting, since it will bring together one of the main government authorities in the lottery area with one of the most important lotteries in the country, the Loteria Mineira, which will show both the state vision, in the person of Ronan Moreira, as in view of the private operator, Intralot Brasil. In addition, Marcello Corrêa, former Legal Director of Loterj, will be responsible for the Rio de Janeiro Lottery for filing the lawsuit against the Union's monopoly in the operation.

Sérgio Alvarenga has already commented exclusively to GMB that Intralot is interested in taking on new lotteries from the publication of the judgment that gives states autonomy in the operation, and his explanation will certainly be one of the most attractive for the public, since the topic is of interest to all Brazilian states.

“With the end of the monopoly, we are going to rescue some opportunities that we have been discussing, but that were stopped until the ADPF’s judgment in the Federal Supreme Court. Now, with a new horizon ahead, the future of lottery activity enters a new and promising phase. That is what we will show,” says Sérgio Alvarenga.

According to the executive, Intralot is not only looking for new states to act. “We are resuming investment projects in technology, marketing and payout, which will allow the modernization of our operation in Minas Gerais,” says the company's CEO.
