In São Paulo, the Camarote Bar Brahma took a casino to the Anhembi Sambadrome. With the theme "Party", the space celebrated its 20 years with several surprises and a project that mixed Las Vegas with the remembered Cassino da Urca, even having its own currency for the guests. The space took advantage of the wave that debates the legalization of the activity in the country to invest in gaming options and luxury that are reflections of these environments.
Still in the category of cabins, businessman Alexis de Vaulx promoted in Sapucaí, the sambadrome in Rio de Janeiro, Lounge + Brasil, which set up a casino in the middle of the samba catwalk. The space had original roulette, black jack, poker, craps, and baccara tables along with slot machines all coming straight from Las Vegas and displayed with luxury. Among the many personalities who visited the site, the highlight was the governor of São Paulo, João Dória, who visited the Lounge on Sunday, the 23rd.
Among the different parades, gambling was the theme of the story of two ‘escolas’ (schools). In Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, the Escola Samba Brasil brought the plot “No marked cards. On the catwalk, the championship has arrived.” It showed the magic of cards decks and the art of playing cards. Checkers, card king's palace, prophecies, gypsies and casino were the themes of the parade.
In Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, the parade of the Unidos do Bairro do Cruzeiro school also talked about gambling and recalled the bingo times of Rua 14 de Julho, with the samba story “Playing is a challenge, a challenge involves risks, risks involve uncertainties, uncertainties involve losses or gains.” The carnival Alex Guedes took to the parade not only the colors of the ‘escola’, but the energy of the gambling with the ‘bahianas’ (local women) dances inspired by the movie Alice in Wonderland, playing cards, dominoes and bingo. The school also talked about tic-tac-toe and the Olympic games.
In the northeast of the country, in São Luis, capital of Maranhão, the Mocidade Independente da Ilha school took the glamor of Las Vegas to the avenue and bet on a brand of the city: gambling. In this case, Mocidade brought to light the big hotels, casinos and traditional strips, which drew attention.
But the celebrations are not over yet. Lounge + Brazil announces that the festivities extend until Saturday, February 29 for the Campeas Parade. In what they promise as a "unique event", Rio de Janeiro Carnival 2020 offers the possibility of living the carnival in a space of sophistication, comfort and an exclusive "Savoir-Faire" in a space of 1000m2 for 350 VIPs per night. The event will be placed in a privileged location, on the uneven side of the samba run-way.
