Bolt started his visit to the global gaming show with a special ICE VOX Fireside Chat session with Ganapati CEO Juliet Adelstein. Bolt has teamed up with app and game developer Ganapati to launch the first new official slot game. The session explored how Bolt has developed and retained his status as one of the world’s most recognisable brands.
Bolt told the audience that having the “right team” was key to building his brand and said it was important for him to align himself with leading content providers. Adelstein, who has a background in sports marketing, had explained that a “properly executed partnership would also allow the athlete leverage for their brand.” She added that Bolt had been involved in the production of the game “every step of the way, from his influences to his heritage and his history.”
Bolt intends to travel to Tokyo for the Olympics and said he is excited for the finished product’s release.
Adelstein said Ganapati, which has studios and offices in London, Tokyo, Taiwan, Malta, Estonia and Los Angeles, was able to challenge some of the established brands as many of its team were from outside of the industry.
When asked how he felt about the day ahead at ICE, which also included meeting fans and playing DJ sets, Bolt said: “For me, its just being a part of this. I'm excited to actually be here and learn more about ICE itself. I’m going to take some pictures, sign some shoes, just hang out and meet some fans – I’m excited just to learn.”
