The event was promoted and organized by the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Consulate General of Brazil in Miami, and the Bank of Brazil Americas. The list of speakers at the event had several authorities, the more important of them, President Jair Bolsonaro, who was responsible for the opening lecture of the meeting.
Representing the Brazilian gaming industry, André Feldman, CEO of BIG - Brazil Internacional Games-, defended the entrepreneurs present the approval of the Regulatory Framework for Gambling and not just the release of the casino-resorts. According to him, Brazilian businessmen need to defend this cause in order to be able to develop the national economy.
“I explained my position to legalize the entire sector; the gaming market as a whole and not just the part of integrated casinos. I believe that we have to regulate gambling as a whole. We cannot open a sector, a country and give everything to foreign groups. Brazilians have the right to participate and be present in this industry,” said André Feldmann to GMB.

The businessman says that it was possible to talk about the legalization of the industry with Brazilian authorities, such as Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro; Embratur's president, Gilson Machado; the governor of Paraná state, Ratinho Junior, among others. According to him, the debate on gambling legalization is already well supported and should gradually gain more ground.
“It was a very talked topic at the event, well discussed, it is on everyone's lips and on the agenda. I spoke with the governor of Paraná, Ratinho Júnior, who told me that he is also supporting legalization. In other words, we have good prospects, but we have to go one block at a time to build the path,” concluded Feldman.
In addition to the gambling industry, other sectors that also presented the opportunities that the economy can offer were biotechnology, food and beverages, defense, home and construction, among others.
Members of the Brazilian government were also included in the list of invited speakers, such as Ministers Paulo Guedes (Economy); Bento Albuquerque (Mines and Energy); and Marcos Pontes (Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications).
On the American side, mayors Francis Suarez of Miami state, Carlos Gimenez of Miami-Dade and Senator Rick Scott were present.
