GAT EXPO announced postponement of 2020 edition due to the coronavirus

The organizing company of GAT Expo 2020, through its CEO Jose Anibal Aguirre, issued an statement informing that, due to the global health emergency situation generated by COVID-19, it will be postponed the 2020 edition of the event that was scheduled for next April 20-23 at the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center, Colombia. Next week the new dates of the event will be defined. Here is the official statement.

GAT EXPO 2020 POSTPONEMENT
 
Background:
 
1. There is a global health emergency, generated by COVID-19, a virus that is already in 115 countries, declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization.
 
2. The organizing company of GAT Expo 2020 has been promptly complying with all stages of marketing, production and logistics, personalized and massive communications, presence in social networks and permanent support for exhibitors and Sponsors in their requirements and will continue to do so until the successful holding the event.
 
3. Recent measures by the National Government of Colombia to contain the virus include the obligation of a 14-day isolation for the entry and exit of international travelers from China, Italy, Spain and France, issued by Resolution of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection N ° 0000380 of March 10 and the ban on holding events that gather more than 500 people, announced by the President of the Republic of Colombia, Doctor Iván Duque Márquez and the Minister of Health.
 
STATEMENT:
 
1. Prioritizing the protection of the health of national and international exhibitors and visitors, it has been decided to postpone the implementation of the Gaming Week, the professionalization courses of the Totally Gaming Academy, complementary academic, corporate and networking events, scheduled to take place on April 21-24, 2020.
 
2. In the next 72 hours, the new dates will be defined, considering the calendar of events of the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center and the annual schedule of events in the gaming industry.
 
3. We thank land-based and online gaming exhibitors, sponsors, Clarion Gaming, national authorities, industry unions: Asojuegos, Cornazar, Camazar, Fecoljuegos and Fedelco, specialized media, visiting businessmen, business partners and the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center, their solidarity and support at this unexpected juncture.
