The spread of the COVID19 coronavirus worldwide continues to cause cancellation of events in the gaming industry in different countries. In this case, the organization of the Ibero-American Gaming Summit has decided to postpone the seventh edition of this international event that was scheduled for April 28 and 29 at the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel.
The Summit brings together the main regulators and players in the sector, from more than 20 countries in Europe and America, with the aim of improving the mechanisms of regulation and exchange of information between companies and regulators. That is why, paying particular attention to the sense of responsibility, it is considered convenient to avoid displacement in order to contribute to the control of this global pandemic.
The event is a window of opportunity to disclose the latest milestones in the sector, both at the regulatory level and in the development of the business of operators and gaming industry licensees and their projection in emerging markets in Latin America.
For this reason, companies like Cirsa, GLI, Sportium, Italtronic, Betcris and iSolutions have already confirmed their support for another edition, which also has the sponsorship of MDF Partners and Novomatic, among others.
The new date for this international forum, which this year will be held in collaboration with the Directorate of Casinos and Games of Chance of the Dominican Republic (Ministry of Finance) as institutional ambassador as host, will be announced shortly.
