Betsson Group has announced it will be supporting Malta’s healthcare professionals by providing free accommodation in its block of apartments.
Seven apartments will be used by professionals who do not wish to go back home and put their families at risk after being exposed to COVID-19.
Healthcare workers, delivery persons and other frontline workers fear they are risking family members’ health after coming back home from a day of work, prompting many to find alternative accommodation where possible.
On the other hand, and respecting the standards suggested by the WHO, Betsson has its employees working from home. The Swedish group launched a search for personnel remotely a couple of weeks ago and thus welcomed those new "Betssonites" whom they hope to meet in person when the pandemic ends.
