LeoVegas Group and its employees have donated €11,160 to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund in support of the World Health Organization (WHO) powered by the United Nations Foundation and the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation. During the past few weeks, the Group has also sent to a number of front liners in Malta and Sweden packed lunches in support and gratitude of all the hard work they are doing during these tough and challenging times.

The COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization (WHO) directly supports the work of WHO and partners to help countries prevent, detect, and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, especially where needs are greatest.

“For me individually and for all of us at LeoVegas, we are proud to join forces with the World Health Organization and the United Nations. We believe that everything helps, regardless of the size of the collaboration, however small it may be, will add up to generate a positive impact in this situation,” says Thomas Carvalhaes, Country Manager of LeoVegas for Brazil and Latin America.

LeoVegas Group has created number of initiatives and awareness campaigns both with its employees and communities it is situated in. Puntualmente, esta campaña de donación de fondos se enmarca dentro de LeoCare, una dinámica interna que se interesa y preocupa por las problemáticas sociales y al mismo tiempo afianza el espíritu de equipo dentro de la propia empresa.

The health of employees and their families is also of absolute top importance, and with the measures company had taken, LeoVegas is exercising its responsibility as an employer. Group has also provided aid by placing other donations within the community, by contributing to the purchase of ventilators and masks.

Since the beginning of LeoVegas, Responsible Gaming has been an important feature of the company's culture, with the awareness and promotion of responsible gaming

“As a benchmark company in the iGaming and betting sector, and at the same time permanently concerned with social responsibility and responsible gaming, LeoVegas feels the need and commitment to participate in these types of initiatives to help society at a so delicate time,” concludes Carvalhaes.

The company regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority works closely with social responsibility partners to promote responsible gaming practices within the community and annually donates money to the Responsible Gaming Trust maintained by GambleAware.
