Presented by deputies Enio Verri (PT-PR), Perpétua Almeida (PCdoB-AC), Fernanda Melchionna (Psol-RS) and Joenia Wapichana (Rede-RR), the text is being analyzed by the Chamber of Deputies.
"History teaches us that periods of crisis are an excellent time for those who buy and a terrible time for those who sell," they argue.
"After a crisis of this dimension, asset prices fall, thus creating an environment of hostile offers, or rather, a large liquidation of quality companies," they add.
According to the text, both the new privatization and divestment processes and the ongoing processes will be suspended for one year, including the sale of shares that result in loss of shareholding control.
“Recently, Petrobras reopened the process of selling its stake in Petrobras Gás S / A (Gaspetro), of which it holds 51%,” quoted the deputies.
"In the financial sector, the government promotes the sale of Caixa subsidiaries, specifically Caixa Seguridade (Security), Caixa Cartão (Card) and Caixa Loterias (Lotteries)", they also mentioned.
"The continuation of these processes would be an irresponsible attitude that would certainly generate significant losses to the Union," they conclude.
