Key Brazilian industry figures in webinar detailing local regulatory sport betting process

iGB announced a panel composed of key industry figures and legislators for the Brazilian market to discuss the current and potential changes in the local sport betting market. The free to attend 60-minute webinar (spoke in English) will take place on the next 14th at 15hs (BST) with Deputy Newton Cardoso, Itamar Pereira (SECAP), André Gelfi (Suaposta/Betsson) and Alessandro Fried (BtoBet). They will be reviewing the current gaming and betting scenario in Brazil and how it can evolve in the future.

The BtoBet sponsored “Webinar Brazil: Sports betting and gaming – how has the global pandemic impacted on the change and rollout” will also give an in-depth update of the regulatory process currently being carried out by the  Secretariat of Evaluation, Planning, Energy and Lottery (SECAP), a division of the Ministry of Economy, which is responsible for the process of developing the sports betting regulations.

In this webinar iGB will explore:

  • How have priorities changed?
  • What’s the current gaming and betting scenario in Brazil?
  • What the future may look like, in the middle of so much uncertainty?

Deputy Newton Cardoso Jr, President of the Tourism Commission; Itamar Pereira, Technical Manager SECAP from the Ministry of Economy; André Gelfi, Suaposta/Betsson’s Managing Partner and Alessandro Fried, BoBet’s Chief Executive Officer will be reviewing the current gaming and betting scenario in Brazil and how it can evolve in the future.

The regularization of the Brazilian gambling industry has generated a lot of interest in the gambling community, with a report put together by KPMG on behalf of the Remote Gaming Association (RGA) suggesting a combined online betting and gaming market would be worth up to US$2.1bn annually.

Many experts also deem the Brazilian market to be very attractive because all licenses will be issued at the Federal level, with one set of legislation for the whole country, contrary to what is happening in a lot of new market scenarios, such as the US and Argentina.

The 60-minute webinar will take place on the 14th May 2020 at 15:00 BST, is totally free to attend and spoken in English.
