"LatamWin always looks for deals and partners to have a strong presence in Brazil"

One of the fastest growing companies in LatAm in recent times is undoubtedly LatamWin. Converted to a comprehensive content platform and certified by GLI, the company has been closing agreements with major brands such as Betgenius and soon to incorporate Playtech. In an exclusive interview with GMB, Wilfred Adelsdorfer, firm’s CEO, comments on the plans that LatamWin has to get fully into Brazil where it eagerly awaits the regulation of sports betting.

First of all, and for the Brazilian market that may not know a lot about the firm, what type of company is LatamWin and what are its differential products?
LatamWin is a company that was born 8 years ago as casino website operators. Today it is projected as a viable alternative for all those who want to have a content platform, payment gateways, user administration and messaging systems for their Casino OnLine websites. We have a wide content portfolio. All of them first-class, certified and with extensive experience in the industry. We offer all the verticals of online gaming, slots, live casino, sports betting, video bingo and poker.

LatamWin is an enterprise that has been transformed into a comprehensive content platform, due to our own need as an operator to have a system that meets the day-to-day needs of the operation. I am not sure if this is what differentiates us from our competition, but it is our strength.

What experience do people who run LatamWin have in the industry?
The experience that makes us stronger, to the ones that integrate LatamWin, is that the platform that we offer to the market today, called the Andes System, is certified under the GLI 19 standard, that is born from our own daily needs as an operator. We went and are website operators, for 8 years now, what allows us to fully understand the needs and what one expects from the platform that administers our sites, with a regional vision given the closest knowledge of the idiosyncrasy of our peoples.

With this experience, adding a technological development team that has gone hand in hand, it has been possible to create an agile, powerful, open platform to offer customization options to those who require it; and be a guarantee of evolution and permanent support.

In the last time there was a strong growth of the company in Chile and throughout the region, what was it due to? Have you done an intense job of brand penetration?
The company has always had sustained growth, which increased and was strengthened when we started operating our sites with our own platform. Since 2018 we have made the determination to transform ourselves into a content platform and, without a doubt, we began to do a job of brand penetration and; make ourselves known, showing what we are, what we offer and the operation that we have for years that supports us. Our history is our best presentation.

Within this work, did you partner with renowned companies to reinforce the product portfolio?
Since 2017 we started visiting numerous fairs in the gaming industry. In particular, the one that until today is the most important and that is celebrated in London in February. In it, we see all the novelties in the industry and we have been establishing business relationships with our current partners that make up our content portfolio.
We believe that our duty is to offer the user the widest range of gaming possibilities, and they will know how to choose according to what they like. We have focused on choosing Class 1 providers, who give guarantees and have certification of their games. The concern to protect our users is always in our sights, guaranteeing fair play, safeguarding their rights as consumers.

Currently we have brands such as Pragmatic Play, Betsoft Gaming, Ezugi, Evolution Gaming, Betgenius (sports), Play´n Go, MGA Games, Spinomenal integrated into our well-known platform, among several others. We are currently working on integrating Playtech, Edict, Habanero, Caleta Gaming, and we have a selected list of 5 or 6 more providers for this year.

You recently announced an alliance with Caleta Gaming to incorporate into your catalog all their video bingo products. The idea is that this could be a gateway to Brazil?
One of our strategies has always been to provide end users with nearby casino websites, where they can find the games that are known to them and of their preference. In this sense, we are completely clear that Video Bingos are extremely popular games among the Brazilian public.

In this sense, Caleta Gaming will be an outstanding provider, carrying all those Bingo video titles that the Brazilian public already knows and likes so much. We believe they are an excellent gateway to the Brazilian public. But we also have full assurance that the rest of our providers will be gaining their space among users through their different promotions such as the popular Slot Tournaments sponsored by LatamWin in conjunction with Pragmatic Play or the Play and Go Mystery Gifts campaigns. We are sure that all of our business partners that make up our content portfolio will strive to offer the best promotions to this highly sought-after audience.

Caleta has Brazilian origins (the company was born in Florianopolis). Did that feature influenced to decide working together?
Caleta Gaming is on our list of ongoing integrations for the quality of its games. All their games, both Slots and Bingos video, have a very colorful theme and design, with very Latin themes; and we believe that they will be liked not only by the public in Brazil, but also by all Latin countries. This is what led us to have them in one of our integration priorities.

Have you analyzed the Brazilian market, its current legislation and its potential?
Of course, we have been following the Brazilian market like many suppliers with a deep interest; and as one of the most important emerging ones. Without a doubt, Brazil is emerging as the most important market for Online Gambling in Latin America. In LatamWin we are looking for agreements, commercial partners to have a powerful presence in the territory from now on; and waiting for the market to be regulated.

Unfortunately, the entire process of regulation, as a result of the pandemic we are facing, has been delayed, as can be seen in the statements of different actors participating in this process in Brazil. The country, it is known by all, currently has many bets carried out illegally. The Brazilian public finds bingos, slots and a series of unregulated betting games on the streets. Face-to-face and online gaming are a reality at the moment; it is an irrefutable fact.

Faced with this, we believe that the regulation should have an urgent treatment, which not only has to do with the collection of fiscal funds, but rather with the ultimate goal, which in our opinion has this process, that is the guarantee for the user to have a fair game, with clear regulations, certified providers, clear policies for the treatment of ludopathy and all the guarantees related to consumer law.

How did the pandemic affect your daily work and how does it alter the company current and future plans?
COVID-19 undoubtedly came to change the plans and strategies of all companies, and we are no exception in this regard. The current scenario has forced us to be creative, to seek opportunity in the midst of the crisis, both as a company and as a technology provider for the industry. Thus, we have learned to work in telework mode.

On the other hand, this period of pandemic, many Latin American countries have quarantines of different degrees with a population that is in a situation of confinement and looking for recreation options on the web. All of this has benefited the operators of online gaming sites. And many companies with face-to-face venues have gone out to look for a virtual platform, urgently, to be able to give continuity to their entertainment business. We identify at this point an opportunity to offer these companies the possibility of a solution, according to their needs and with a wide portfolio of entertainment options with the best technology, which also have the certifications that endorse our Andes System platform.

An important consequence and one that has changed approaches in the short term is the increase in requests for our platform, especially for in-person casinos that urgently see the need to enter the online world, with providers that are regionally close, much earlier than they had planned.
