Newest Las Vegas casino Circa to open ahead of schedule

While the city is returning to business after a historic lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, CEO and developer Derek Stevens announced his newest Downtown Las Vegas property, Circa Resort & Casino, will debut 28 October 2020, two months ahead of schedule. The venue is placed in the historic Fremont Street with over five floors of gaming and amenities and will employ 1,000 people.

Despite the lockdown, Las Vegas will get an all-new casino ahead of schedule in its Downtown area. Previously slated for a December 2020 launch, the Circa Resort and Casino will open on October 28 its first five floors of amenities and state-of-the-art parking hub – Garage Mahal –.

To achieve this expedited timeline, Stevens reallocated construction resources from Circa’s hotel tower to the first five floors. Slated for completion at the end of 2020, the tower will house Circa’s 777 rooms and suites starting on the eighth floor. It was also informed that room reservations will go live June 24.

Stevens already owns the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel and Casino and his latest offering will have the world’s largest sportsbook over three stories in stadium-style and will be dominated by a 78 million pixel screen to a maximum 1,000 players. There will also be a pool amphitheatre for outdoor entertainment and four restaurants.

The gaming floors cover two stories and will house 1,350 slots and 49 tables.

“Sometimes life throws you curveballs, and 2020 has been an unpredictable year for the entire world,” said Stevens. “However, thanks to the creativity and ingenuity from our partners at McCarthy Building Companies Inc. and Tré Builders, we can move forward on this accelerated path and have an opening unlike Las Vegas has experienced. We are excited to see what the future holds and to give visitors and locals something to celebrate.”
