For legal reasons, the only type of betting that is allowed to be advertised by Law 13.756 / 18, as in the jersey of football teams, is the one called "fixed-quota". In other words, the bettor knows exactly how much he is investing at the beginning of the action and how much he will yield at the end, without any variations.
This type of platform does not encompass poker, for example, because it is not known how much money will be spent on a disputed "hand", as there are several rounds of betting possible by different players before the winner is discovered.
For this, a company of another name will be displayed on Corinthians’ jersey, a subsidiary of the company that only operates "fixed-odd" and recreation bets. The firm will not necessarily have a direct link to PokerStars, although the people doing the business are the same.
Corinthians itself had such a company announced on its jersey: MarjoSports. The firm signed with the club in the middle of last year and had a valid relationship with the ‘Timão’ until the end of this season, occupying the space destined to the heats. Earlier this month, however, citing problems because of the financial crisis, the deal was broken.
It is worth remembering that Corinthians suffers from the loss of income during the pandemic and eagerly awaits the money from the sale of its midfielder Pedrinho to settle its accounts. That is, the immediate entry of money will bring relief to the club.
