Mycujoo signs agreement with CBF to broadcast e-Brasileirão on streaming

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and streaming platform Mycujoo signed a deal to broadcast all the games of the e-Brasileirão 2020. Within the mycujoo.tv website, it will be possible to watch the final phase of the event. In total, 37,743 people signed up to participate in the tournament, played within PlayStation 4’s Pro Evolution Soccer game. 'Brazil has the largest audience in LatAm and around 5 million Brazilian eSports enthusiasts are also fans of football,” said Terence Gargantini, general director of MyCujoo in Brazil and Latin America.

Mycujoo will broadcast the second phase of the championship, with the elimination phase of each of the 20 clubs represented. In total, MyCujoo will display 844 games on its platform, including the third phase of the competition, which starts on July 27, in a single-point run system, each representing its club.

The last round will be played in person at the CBF headquarters, already in December, as well as the playoffs with the top eight to finally define the champion. The final stage is also broadcast by Sportv.

"We are very happy to bring a competition as relevant as e-Brasileirão to our platform, with the participation of so many traditional clubs. We are partners of CBF and Brazilian football, we want to bring it more and more to our users, whether as for: real or virtual, adult or base, female or male," said the director general of MyCujoo in Brazil and Latin America, Terence Gargantini.

With the agreement, MyCujoo expands the connection with CBF. The D Series of the Brazilian Championship (with exclusivity) are also broadcasted through the platform, in addition to the Brasileirão Women A1 and A2, Brasileirão Sub-20 and Sub-17, Copa do Brasil of the same categories and the Brasileirão de Aspirantes.

"Brazil has the largest eSports audience in Latin America and around 5 million Brazilian enthusiasts of eSports are also football fans. In this moment of few options for live content, this is a good opportunity for more people to meet this modality and can interact with their heart club and with the tournament's partner brands," added Gargantini.
