Conmebol confirms Copa Libertadores schedule, bookmakers add new betting offer

The Copa Libertadores de América already has a confirmed date and full schedule for the return of the games after the stoppage due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The matches will come back on September 15, and the first Brazilians to enter the pitch will be Santos and Atlético-PR. Until the pandemic shutdown in March, only the first two rounds of the group stage had been played.

Conmebol released this Monday the new schedule of games of the first phase of the Copa Libertadores after the stoppage due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus. The continental competition returns on September 15 with two Brazilian teams on the field: Santos faces Olimpia (Paraguay) in Vila Belmiro, while Athlético visits Wilstermann- in Bolivia.

The next day, Internacional, Grêmio and Palmeiras take the field against América de Cali (Colombia), Universidad Catolica (Chile) and Bolivar (Bolivia), respectively.

São Paulo and Flamengo play on September 17th against River Plate (Argentina) and Independiente Del Valle (Ecuador).

Until the pandemic shutdown in March, only the first two rounds of the group stage had been played.

In the statement, CONMEBOL said that if any club needs to make changes to the stadium/city/country for their games at home, they must send a specific request to confederation until 6 pm on August 20, for analysis and approval.
