The Brazilian's work was recognized by professionals and companies in the sector who evaluated specialists from jurisdictions around the world.
"I had the honor to be awarded in 2019 and now in 2020 again. Global Law Experts conducts research with several international companies in the gaming industry and verifies their assessments of professionals in each jurisdiction. This recognition is very significant for me," Maia said.
With more than 10 years of experience in the gaming sector in Brazil and participation in major industry events around the world reporting the country's importance to the international market, Maia says that the new award highlights that he has achieved the most important objective, and he thanks the entire sector.
“It represents that we are managing to do what is most important: serving and representing our customers well. This recognition is a very rewarding part of any professional's career and I can only thank everyone in the sector, including GMB, for always opening up this very important space," adds Maia.
The lawyer said he received the news of the award with surprise and that it is a consequence of the success that clients have achieved and not just a personal achievement.
"Actually, we don't work thinking about awards, but about the success of our clients, before our own. The success of the lawyer is a consequence of the client's victories. The recognition comes consequently and, when it comes, the feeling is always of immense gratitude," he concluded.
Luiz Felipe Maia is a founding partner of the law firm Franco, Yoshiyasu, Maia, Simões and D'Alessio Advogados and head of the gaming, internet and technology team. He has over 18 years of professional experience involving structuring businesses in Brazil.
Graduated in Law at USP and Master in Law at UFPE, he is a negotiator and mediator certified by the Harvard Negotiation Program, in addition to a professor of negotiation. He received several international awards in recognition of his role as a gaming and technology lawyer in Brazil and was selected by the international publication Lawyer Monthly among the 100 best lawyers in the country.
